Our house
We live in a 2 bedroom end terrace house on a quiet street just off the main bus route. The lounge/dining room is the main room used for childminding, although the kitchen is also used for messy and baking activities sometimes too. We have lots of toys, a mixture of wooden and plastic, to encourage a positive enabling environment. All resources are accessible to the children, as the majority of an average day in our house is child led, with adult direction where needed!
Lets bake!
We like to do lots of messy things, like baking yummy treats as well as lovely healthy snacks like fruit smoothies made from our own home grown berries from the garden! We also enjoy taking part in lots of sensory activities, such as playing with noodles, jelly, gloop, cold custard and beans!
Messy!
We love being creative, on a large or small scale! Lots of painting, gluing, drawing, glittering, and creating!
Singing and dancing
We love to share stories, sing and dance. A fantastic way to promote language skills and build positive relationships with others.
Fun in the sun!
We spend lots of time outside in our large, secure garden. There is a decked area with sand tray, water tray, and large wooden wendy house, a slide, seesaw, cars and bikes as well as lots of water play with paddling and splash pool when the sun shines! We also have a picnic bench which is perfect for those sunny afternoon tea party's.
Lets play
We are lucky enough to live within a few minutes walk of a lovely little park which we often visit, and also next door to the community play fields which are great for playing football on in the summer and finding muddy puddles to jump in during the wetter months!
